Day 08

Departure from Kathmandu

See you soon

Before we bid goodbye to Nepal, let’s explore the Pashupatinath temple situated on the banks of Bagmati River, which is considered to be the most holy temple in the world of Nepalese Hinduism. The sight of a cremation being performed on the banks of the river is very common. We then move on to Bhaktapur, a treasure-trove of medieval art and architecture, which translates as ‘the city of devotees’. It is still largely a city of farmers, and the most authentic of the valley’s cities. Its tiled roofs, carved wooden facades and numerous courtyards continue to exude a highly-cherished medieval character. From Bhaktapur, we drive to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure.

We hope you have had a wonderful time in Nepal. We wish you a safe journey home, and hope to see you again soon!

Post the earthquake, life is still struggling in Nepal. We are helping some small shops and businesses to get into the mainstream; not by giving money, but improvising some ideas to run their business more effectively.
